We are an approved SQA centre offering a range of social service courses including SVQs and short PDAs. Each course is designed to enable you to meet your employee Scottish Social Services Council registration requirements and to keep your practice up to date.

What are SVQs?

Scottish Vocational Qualifications are work-based awards. The SVQs in social services are delivered at three different levels depending on your experience and current job role.

What are PDAs?

Professional Development Awards are qualifications for those already in professional employment who want to broaden their skill base.

How much does it cost?

Funding is available through Skills Development Scotland. In some instances you may be eligible for funding through SAAS. Please contact us directly to discuss your funding options.

Where do the courses take place?

Your assessor will visit your work place to carry out observations and support you. There will also be group training days when you will be invited to our office in Glasgow city centre.

When are the start dates?

Start dates are flexible and run throughout the year. There are no fixed start dates as we work on an individual basis with candidates. Depending on the course they can last between 9 and 18 months.
