SQA Fellowship Award - Winner

SQA Star Awards 2018

Our Director, Lorna Trainer, received the prestigious SQA Fellowship Award.  The award recognises Lorna’s continuous energy and enthusiasm to learning and training in Scotland over the course of her career. Prior to setting up l&g learning in 2006, Lorna worked as a Senior Social Worker and then as a Senior Lecturer and Head of School in Further Education. Over Lorna’s career she has acted as a consultant for NHS Education Scotland, SQA and the Scottish Social Services Council, developing several SQA qualifications, National Occupational Standard and contributing to policy initiatives. Small Employer of the Year - Finalist

l&g learning were proud to be one of the top three finalists for the STF Small Employer of the Year Award. The staff were delighted to be selected as finalists in this category and hope to build on this in the coming year.


Achiever of the Year Award  - Finalist

It was a great moment to see another one of our learners on stage to receive her finalist certificate in the Achiever of the Year category. Steffanie Cairns received her award in a professional manner and enjoyed the experience and trip to Crieff Hydro. Her mum was delighted to see Steffanie on stage collecting her award after all of her work and dedication to the care sector.


Employability Achiever of the Year Award

Our Beth Fearon was the proud winner of the first ever Scottish Training Federation Employability Achiever of the Year Award.

Beth has shown great determination and passion in working towards and acheiveing her dream of a career within the Childcare sector. We at l&g learning were delighted to have been able to play a part in Beth's journey and we were honoured to spend the day with Beth and her Gran at Crieff Hydro on the 1st of October 2014.
