l&g learning Walking Group

l&g learning are proud to launch our new partnership initiative to tie in with Mental Health Awareness Week #MHAW17

We have partnered with Jogscotland and SAMH to promote the benefits of physical activity in tackling and preventing mental health problems. 1 in 4 of us will experience poor mental health at some point in our lives. Mental health doesn't discriminate - it can impact on anyone's life!

Exercise plays a vital role in preventing and helping with mental health problems. Being active has proven to;

28/03/2017 Sponsored Walk for Autism Awareness Week

Find out about how our stage 3 group raised money for Autism Awareness Week.

l&g learning sponsored walk

Congratulation to our stage 3 group who completed their 5k sponsored walk in aid of Autism Awareness Week. Having spent time researching additional support needs within the workplace, the group were inspired to raise money for a good cause.

Our learner Nicole tells us a bit about why the group decided to raise money for the National Autistic Society.

By the time Wednesday arrived, the sunshine had departed but the group remained undeterred. They completed a route which took them from Central station, around Glasgow Green and back again. Finishing the route in 1 hour 28 minutes, our learners managed to raise £45. All benefits will go to the National Autistic Society Scotland.

L&G learning are passionate about providing equal opportunities for all. If you’re currently out of work and looking to participate in a course which can further your personal development and help you back into work, do not hesitate to get in touch.
